(OOC: This is set just before they all go to the Digital World) Kai sighed as he once again read a book. He’d found a nice clearing to read in. His manual wheelchair was nearby in case he needed to go anywhere. He had decided that he needed some alone time. It had been a long day, it seemed. First he’d met a guy called Joe who’d help him after a football had smacked him in the face. Then he’d met Matt’s younger brother, TK and tried to help out. Then he’d seen Matt and Luisa, a girl he’d met years before. He sighed again and carried on reading. He wondered where Sora and Joe were. He hadn’t seen Joe since earlier that morning and Sora...well, he hadn’t seen her yet. He had a feeling that something was going to happen today but couldn’t explain it. He hoped it was a good something.
The disabled boy shifted his weight and then decided he needed he wanted a drink. He crawled to the back of his chair and got the brown rucksack from the back and then threw it near to his book. It contained a bottle of water, a few snacks, a photo of his family, another book and some other items. He should have bought the bag with him when he first came to this spot. Kai sighed and crawled back to his spot. He wondered where the others were, and he’d hoped that TK had found Matt. The kid was nice. Kai shifted back into his original position, which was lying on the ground, with the rucksack beside him.
Kai smiled as he thought about TK, Sora, Matt and Joe. They were nice people and he hoped that he’d maintain friendships with them.

So far, camp had been pretty fun for TK. He was able to spend a lot of time with Matt, and he was even able to make some new friends, like one kid named Kai Starshine. Even though there had been a few scary moments, like when he had gotten lost in the forest or when he nearly fell into a river, this camp was a very nice experience. He wished that he would never have to leave.
For the moment, there weren't any camp activities, so everyone was able to do their own thing. TK was outside playing in the field. This time, he was staying away from the forest, staying within viewing distance of the campsite. It was a decision that his brother had made, though the boy understood why he had made that rule and followed it. He really didn't want to get lost again.
Feeling a bit hungry, and since it was a good while until lunch, TK put his backpack down and took a bar of chocolate out. It seemed like the only thing the boy carried around were candies and treats. It was hard trying to get it past his mother, since when he had asked if he could do so, she objected, but with a bit of sneakiness, he managed. Besides, it wasn't like he was going to keep it all for himself; he was perfectly willing to share some with his brother or his friends, and he had a lot to share.

"It's so peaceful out here." The boy said to himself as he clutched his trusty harmonica in his hand. The instrument seemed to be with him at every waking moment. His free hand ran through his messy, blonde hair. "Kinda like everything is normal and right in the world." Granted he knew that it wasn't. His own life wasn't a sleigh ride either with his mom and dad breaking up. It was different...you know...not seeing her and T.K. all the time. He got used to it though and very much valued his time with his younger brother now, even if he was a bit of a whiner.
Matt took in a breath, the fresh air seemed to help his mind open up, though he wasn't sure that was a good thing. This camp experience gave him a lot of time to think most of which wasn't the happiest of things. He usually just shrugged those feelings off though. His basic thought behind all of it was 'What am I supposed to do about it? I'm just a kid.' True enough, but this kid didn't realize the power he was soon to come in to. He had yet to realize that he was a digidestined and that his whole life was about to change.
'I wonder what that Kai kid is up to?' He thought to himself, his mind wandering back to the handicapped kid. There was something different about that boy, ever since he helped him when he dropped his books Matt had a strange feeling about him. The boy once again shrugged off the feeling. "Hrmmm..." He mumbled as he started walking, though he hadn't really a clue where he was walking to. He was just going where his body took him. He boy pulled at his gloves. 'I wonder if anyone else is just wondering about.' He thought to himself as he scanned the area looking for other campers. 'There has got to be someone out here.'

No parents to tell you what to do. Sora couldn't be happier really. Camp was turning out to be a rather fun and entertaining experience for the young girl. She was glad that there were friends her. She's seen Kai at least once but he had not seen her. He had been doing something else as she had run by him with a group of kids wanting to play soccer and all. She had meant to go and search him out after that but she had failed to get the time keeping herself busy and doing everything the camp had to off. She flopped down on the bed in her cabin for a moment before she sat up again. I'll go fine him now. She thought to herself and she got up.
It didn't take Sora long to get out of her cabin once more and go on the hunt for Kai. There were not activities going on right now and most everyone else was off just relaxing where they could. She looked around for what seemed forever and finally spotted Kai in a clearing. She walked up to him with a huge smile on her face and plopped down next to him. "HI Kai what you doing?" She smiled at him and looked up at the sky laying back and taking a deep breath and a chance to smell the roses as the saying went.
