appearance;; Luisa has dark, Hispanic skin, and a kind face. SHe has dark brown eyes, and sweeping purple hair that she puts up into ponytails on both side of her head with yellow ribbons. Her hair is often too long for her own good, and gets in the way frequently.
She is four feet, seven inches tall, and weighs 95 pounds. She has a thin frame, and wears a open shoulder shirt, and a skirt. Both are cream colored. She smiles, but rarely talks, and is normally quiet and thoughtful.
personality;; Luisa is a friendly but quiet girl. She doesn’t talk often, and is unsure about what she says a lot of the time, when she does talk. There are a few reasons for this. The first is that she doesn’t always have a lot to say. She doesn’t want to say the wrong thing, and so she finds it easier to simply not talk at all. She’s smart enough, but she’s not incredibly intelligent, and so that makes her feel a little nervous about speaking in front of others. She’s also nervous that she’ll say the wrong thing to someone and they won’t want to be her friend anymore. She finds it hard to make friends mostly due to how quiet she is,
As demonstrated, she has a low self-esteem, and doesn’t always regard herself highly. She’ll offer compliments to someone else, but has a hard time taking compliments about herself. She won’t deny them, but she just won’t say anything, and she’ll wonder if it’s true or not (she assumes it’s not).
When asked to fight or resort to violence, Luisa will do anything to get out of it. She doesn’t like fighting or hurting people, and discourages others from doing it as well. She’s easily scared and nervous, and so things that scare her easily put her out of commission for usefulness.
She enjoys it when other people are happy, and so does her best to make them happy. She will not tell a lie, though, so she won’t make things up, but she’ll use whatever she sees that’s good about a person. She’ll take the bad and interpret it as good, and always tries to make the best of things. Whatever she thinks about herself, she’s no pessimist.
family;;
Father: Manuel Carlos Julio Cervantes
Mother: Anita Inez Flores Cervantes
Brother: Carlos Julio Damian Cervantes (age 9)
history;; Luisa was born to Manuel and Anita Cervantes in Orense, Spain, located in the north-western region of Galacia, near the Atlantic ocean. Her mother ran a flower shop, and her father was an executive at a metal producing factory. They lived in a simple house, not in any extravagant splendor, but they were comfortable and happy. Luisa was a quiet baby, and was fawned over by her many relatives. She was one of the later comers to her family, and so was the youngest at all of the parties, which seemed to happen every week so family could be together. They all lived with in a few kilometers of each other, but they always greeted each other like they hadn’t seen one another for years. As Luisa grew older, she had a hard time fitting in with the boisterous and happy family. She was just quiet, and though she liked to play, she didn’t always like her older cousins’ roughhousing with her. She used to cry when everyone got too out of hand, and it was only when things were calm that she would calm down as well.
Her brother Carlos was the energetic child. Once he was born, he was always laughing and trying to move about while his sister sat quietly, just watching the world go by. She and Carlos were very close in their younger years, and he always tried to look out for her when people would mess with her for being shy and quiet. It was humorous for many to see her small brother who barely knew how to speak protecting her, but Luisa was grateful for his help, and appreciated his support of her. It made their relationship grow even stronger.
When Luisa was eight years old and Carlos was five, their father agreed to work for two years abroad in Japan, and he took his family with him, saying it would be a good experience for Luisa and Carlos to learn more languages and experience other cultures. Anita was at first against it, but since it was only for a short term commitment, she agreed to do it. Luisa was very nervous about moving, but she wanted to be brave for Carlos, and so she, as usual, said nothing.
Once they arrived in Japan, they settled down in the neighborhood of Heighton View Terrace. Luisa enjoyed the school system they had in Japan. It was very simple and quiet, and was focused on work. She let herself enjoy her work, and even made a few friends. Carlos liked it less for its systematic approach, and the lack of chaotic fun, but he learned quite a bit too. A few months after they had moved in, there was a strange event - two large monsters were fighting in the middle of Heighton View Terrace. No one else seemed to be able to see the monsters (who, unbeknownst to her, were Greymon and Parrotmon). Luisa had simply been stargazing when she saw the monsters fighting in the street below. When she told her parents about it, they laughed, finding her "tall tales" very amusing. They were alarmed by the damage that happened in the "earthquake," which was what the media had been saying had happened. Once her father’s two years were up, her family moved back to their old home in Orense, eager to get away from whatever had happened that night.
Once Luisa returned home, she was a little less shy, but still painfully quiet. She had an easier time in school and making friends, and now she knew the beginnings of Japanese and English, both of which were taught in school. She felt smarter and knew that she had friends. This little bit of confidence made her feel a little better in school, and she had an easier time being with her big and overly-friendly family. She could also e-mail with some of her closer friends, and that helped as well. After awhile, they forgot to e-mail her, and she felt a little out of touch. She started retreating back into her shell again.
The year Luisa turned twelve was the year that her mother and father decided to send her to a summer camp that her Japanese said they were going to. She agreed, but when she arrived, she found out that her friends weren’t there. It was too late for her to change, and so she was left at her camp, without her friends, and feeling sad and a little angry at her friends for abandoning her. Luisa was at camp, but wholly unprepared for what would face her next.
