It was a rather warm sunny day it was around noon on a Saturday so their was no school and most kids were just enjoying themselves. One of these people were Rikuo Yu Sarutobi he was currently sitting at a local cafe enjoying his day off from his family's medical clinic. Normally Rikuo would spend this time with his friends but decided he really didn't want to put of with some of their insanity at the moment. So instead he was here sitting in a chair on the cafes patio drinking some coffee watching cars go by while reading the paper.
Rikuo couldn't help but heave a sigh as he turned the page. I'm acting like one of those business suit guys wounder what everyone else is up to? With this though in mind Rikuo folded the paper closed and set it aside and with a sigh took another drink from his coffee cup.

Miranda was very bored. there was nothing to do for the ten year old. If she had been allowed to go to summer camp with Kai, then she’d be having fun. But no, her mother and father had to send her off you her aunts, worse yet alone with Tristan! Eventually she had enough”I’m going out!” she said and simply left the house. Her feet took her miles from home, and into town. She looked around before choosing the nearest restaurant having noticed that it was actually noon now.
On approach she noticed someone who looked familiar to her, closer and closer he became clearer to her. Until she realized he was her cousin, Rikuo. She smiled and waved ’be right there!” she called out to him before entering the restaurant, and got herself a plain cheese burger, and fries. She used her own saved up allowance to pay for this. Afterwards she returned to her cousin”hey, mind if i sit here?’ she asked holding the bag full of her food in her right arm. If he said it was ok, she would move to sit down, placing her food on the table before him. And eats a few fries. “So...How are you?’ she asked her cousin

Rikuo finished his coffee and asked the waitress for a refill after she left he noticed some one call out to him. He looked to were the voice was coming from and noticed his youngest cousin waving at him he waved back and watched as she made her way into the restaurant. Rikuo waited till she came over with her food and asked to join him,"Of course you can Myra-chan". Rikuo said this with his normal warm smile on his face and sat up straight.
Rikuo took a sip from his coffee and set it back down on the table as she sat down then answered her question."I'm fine Myra-chan just enjoying my day off". Rikuo then decided to ask his own question. "So how are you today Myra-chan,and what are you doing walking around all by your lonesome self? Rikuo asked this with a slight grin on his face he was curious he knew that Kai had gone to summer camp and hoped he would be able to make some friends. But he figured that Miranda would have gotten to go with him as they were close. He also found it odd that Tristin would allow his little sister to walk around the city alone but then Rikuo figured Tristin really wasn't safety focused Big brother hell he might not even know she had left.

Miranda smiled as Rikuo said that she would be able to sit with him. She did the whole sitting down and taking a French fry to eat. She then took another, and allowed it entrance into her mouth. She chomped on the French fry before answering her cousin. “good to hear’ she said when he answered he was fine and that he was enjoying his day off. Days off were great, or at least they would be. At his question of how she was, and also what was she doing walking around all by her lonesome self, a small bit of anger flared within her as she remembered what her parents did.
“I am or was bored” she would say in response to his first question. Before taking a few more French fries into her hand and allowing that many t be eaten. She enjoyed the tastiness of those French fries. She gently placed a hand over her burger, to feel how hot it was, before she answered her cousin’s next question. “I am bored at our aunts” she told him ”at home, I could at least do something to keep myself occupied but at Auntie’s there isn’t much, worse yet my stupid parents made kai go to Summer camp where it would be so much fun, with all the activities but I have to go alone with Tristan” she said. Tristan’s name was full of anger. “Tristan doesn’t want to play with me like Kai did” she said. And sighed, before lifting her Burger”

Rikuo's grin vanished at her answer to his question he found it odd that only Kai had been sent to summer camp while Miranda and Tristin were sent to their aunts house. Rikuo then reached over and ruffled her hair to try and cheer her up a little. He then had an idea since no one would hang out with her and she was bored."Well since no one wants to hang out with you Myra-chan how about the two of use hang out for the rest of the day? You can brag to Tristin that I like you more then him,and tell Kai that while he went to camp you got to hang with your favorite cousin. Rikuo said this and chuckled slightly as he hoped to cheer her up he had always had a soft spot for Miranda and Kai.
Rikuo took another drink from his cup as he waited for her answer he figured hanging out with him for a day was better then sitting around bored out of her skull. Rikuo then raised an eyebrow at his own question. And if I'm not already your favorite then after today I will be. With this said Rikuo leaned back in his chair to plan what to do next.

Miranda giggled as she lifted her hands up, hoping to protect her neat-kept hair. As he spoke, a smile formed on her young ten year old lips. She grinned even wider at the chance to brag to her bigger brother, Tristan. Her body shook in laughter as he called himself her favorite cousin. He was right however, he was her favorite”sounds like a deal” she said. She soon picked up her burger, and begins to eat it, savouring the taste it had in her mouth. The Burger was quite yummy, the yummy meat, with the cheese on top of it. It was like eating a slice of Paradise.
She whipped her mouth and cheeks so that the ketchup was now on the napkin and not on her face. She wondered what the two of them might be doing. Swimming was a fun activity but she didn’t bring a swim suit, though they could always go get another for her to use. She decided she will ask so she looked up at him”Sounds like a good idea, got anything in mind, Riku-chan?” she asked him. She moved a bit of hair from her face, allowing him to see her eyes, as the sun shone on them.

Rikuo finished his coffee while Miranda finshed her burger and whiped off her face with her napkin. Rikuo then stood up and grabed his coat of the chair and put it back on a fixed the collar so it was stright. Rikuo then looked his little cousin in the eyes and smiled at her and chuckled slightly as she asked if he had any ideas. Well I have a few ideas of what we can do we could go to the park the arcade go swimming maybe get some ice cream it'll be a fun filled day.
As the words fun filled left Rikuo's mouth he pumped his fist into the air and got a few odd looks from people. He quickly brought his fist down and rubbed the back of his head sheepisly Oh great now i'm acting like Keigo. With this thought in mind Rikuo left money on the table along with a tip for his coffee. And held out his hand for his cousin to take so they could begin their day.
He then decided to ask Miranda if their was anything special that she wanted to do for the day. "So then Myra-chan is their anything special that you want to do today after all you do get a choice in what we do?"

Miranda smiled as he spoke about the fun filled activities they could do, and as it turned out Swimming was one of them. She remembered hearing that you shouldn’t eat anything right when you are going to go swimming, so perhaps they could go to the pool first, and then maybe have ice cream in the park. But there was one bit of problem. She didn’t have a good swim suit to wear. “ok, then maybe the arcade first, we could vers each other on some fighting game or something’ she said to him. “Then... Maybe the store... See...I need a swim suit, and with the money I have now I don’t think I can buy one” she told him. “Then we could go swimming, and after that we could eat ice cream, maybe in the park?” she asked him.
She blinked as he pumped his arm into the air, and while it got weird looks from the other people she couldn’t help but shake in laughter. He certainly was her favorite cousin. On noticing the hand, she reached up to grab at it after she finished all her fries. She did hope that he wouldn’t mind buying stuff for her. She didn’t exactly want to return to her aunts quite yet.
She waited for him to lead the way.

Rikuo nodded as she made the list and took his hand he smiled and began to walk at a slow pace so that she could easily keep up with him with out jogging. Rikuo looked to his right at his little cousin and decided to informer her of how today would work. Don't you worry your pretty little head Myra-chan today is on me so you don't have to worry about money I'll pay for it all. as Rikuo said this he patted his pant pocket which held his wallet with his free hand to prove his point.
It didn't take long for them to reach the arcade it had a rather small crowd considering that it was a Saturday afternoon. Rikuo did a quick glance around he noticed some people from his school but none of his friends he couldn't help but grin as he bought so game tokens for them to use. He turned to Myra and gave her half of what he had bought. Now then Myra-chan takes these and let's have some fun and if ya need more just ask. Rikuo then waited for her to chose the first game.

Miranda followed beside him, holding his hand tight in her arms, not wanting to let go. She couldn’t help but smile as he told her not to worry her pretty little head. He also told her that today is on him, and that she didn’t need to worry, he will pay for everything. Miranda smiled at this, feeling very happy that he promised to pay for everything. All she had to do was make sure she won’t be just using him. But she won’t however go for the cheapest of items. The movement of Rikuo patting his pant pocket caught her attention, as she heard money inside.
Miranda walked beside him able to keep up at an alright pace. She allowed her eyes to look around her surroundings as she followed. Eventually, they got to the arcade. Her unusual eyes widened a little, before she smiled and followed him inside. She looked around, as she continued to follow, letting her eyes look at the games they could play. She had spotted a few she had heard about. When Rikuo gave her half of the tokens, she smiled at him “alright!” she says now no longer bored but excited.
Miranda led the way to one of the games. This was one of those games where you sat down and it was like you were in a car. This was in a set of two, so that two players can play, and when he got in the other. She would put the appropriate amount of tokens inside the slot. She gave her cousin a grin before she revved the electronic that looked to be a car.
She waited for the lights to turn green.

Rikuo couldn't help but chuckle as Miranda led the way over to the racing game and she took one of the seats. Rikuo took the other and put the tokens needed into the game and readied him self. He revved the engine in challenge to Myra and smiled at her"Sorry Myra-chan but I should warn you I'm not gonna go easy on ya". As the light turned green both Miranda and Rikuo floored it and took off the race was going well both staying neck in neck Rikuo was even able to pull ahead for a bit until darkness.
Not for the game no the reason someone had covered Rikuo's eyes from behind the culprit one of Rikuo's friends Sato."Guess who Rikuo?". Sadly this did not end well for Rikuo as the sudden darkness caused him to swerve his car and crash thus allowing Miranda to win the race. Rikuo removed Sato's hands from his face and glanced over his shoulder at his fellow teen before speaking to him."Sato what do you think your doing?". The boy had a grin that looked like it could split his face and answered"Well we and when I say we I mean me and the other all thought we should hang out today but now. I see you'd rather hang out with some kid then me your best friend ever"
Rikuo raised an eyebrow as Sato summoned fake tears and seemed to get ready to cry at his abandonment. Rikuo then quickly slaped the back of Sato's head to shut him up before speaking."Sato this is my lovely cousin Miranda Starshine, Myra this is one of the dumbest guys I know Sato Asano. With that Sato waved to Myra and summonded his giant goofy grin.

Miranda smiled as he spoke to her. She giggled a little “we’ll see!” she said to her older cousin as the two of them raced against each other. The two of them staying neck to neck, her car matching his until his managed to pull ahead, to which she attempted to push harder on the gas of the vehicle forcing her car to go faster. She could see the goal in sight. She was going to win and beat her cousin. But the movement beside her distracted her. it looked almost like someone was covering her cousin’s eyes. she blinked thinking this was weird. But she won the game.
She watched the two interact, noticing that he seemed to know the guy, and they might actually be friends or something. The guy she now knew as Sato Asano was supposed to be his best friend. She blinked. She lifted her hand from the wheel”hiya, it’s nice to meet you, Sato-san” she would say wanting to be a bit polite. “Any friend of my cousin’s is a friend to me’ she said, hoping she didn’t make a big mistake. Though the guy seemed nice.

Rikuo watched as Miranda introduced herself to Sato and Watched as Sato tried to what seemed be a hug of death to little Miranda. Rikuo quickly caught Sato by his coat collar before he could crush his cousin in his embrace and set him back to were he had started."Ohh just look at her she's so cute oh just wait till the others see her". Rikuo raised an eyebrow when he said others and prayed it was a joke he also noticed that his cousin seemed slightly nervous like she may have done something wrong. Rikuo smiled to his cousin and once again ruffled her hair to try to cheer her up.
Rikuo then turned his gaze back to Sato and gave him what his friends called the 'Talk or I'll hurt you smile' for those who knew what it was they were instantly nervous. Rikuo then decided to ask his question. ="So Sato who all here I'm guessing your not alone?" Sato seemed to snap out of his fear induced state and quickly went back in what Rikuo called the Sato permanent sugar rush. "Oh how about I just go and get em you just wait right here and I'll be back." With that Sato took of running for the door before Rikuo could even say no he then turned to Myra and smiled at her. Sorry about that Myra-chan didn't think Sato would be here otherwise I could have warned you about his madness? If you want we can leave before he gets back and do something else, or you can meet some more of my friends it's up to you my dear?

Miranda blinked as the bigger man attempted to hug her, she didn’t like the way he was going to do so however, it seemed like he might actually crush her. Fortunately, Rikuo prevented that from happening. She did blinked as she was complemented, while she did like being called cute, she wasn’t really too sure about him. This seemed to have made her look a little nervous because Rikuo ruffled her hair. She blinked a little, once more.
Rikuo gave Sato a different kind of smile. She had a feeling she might not like it too much. She listened as he spoke to his friend. She too wondered who else was here, also whether they were wierd as Sato. She blinked as Sato responded, and practically shot out of there. “Thats...ok Rikuo-chan..” she says blinking a little. She thought about it”hmm..Let’s play some more..Your friends aren’t as strange as Sato is right?’ she asked him “also...How many others are your friends?’ she asked.
She moved a strand of hair from her face a little once again. She felt a little bothered how her hair always seemed to get into her face. “How about we meet your friends, or at least the ones he will bring than go shopping?” she asked.

Rikuo smiled as Miranda said that she was fine and then asked if all of Rikuo's friends were like Sato. When she said that Rikuo actually burst out laughing and slowly got him self under control. When he finally did he gave Myra his warmest smile before he spoke. Don't you worry Myra-Chan Sato is one of a kind at least I hope he is.Jason looked scared at the thought of more then one Sato and quit literally shook those thoughts from his head. When she asked how many other friends he had he answered her question. Don't you worry Myra-chan Only a few of my friend could stand Sato when I'm not around so I'm sure when Sato gets back he'll have Tora,Sen and Aoi with him but those three are harmless. Rikuo smiled and listened to Miranda's Idea on what to do next and Saluted her like a soldier would and with a shout of Yes Mam chuckled with her slightly.
Rikuo turned his attention to the door as for People came back in the one in the lead was Sato. The one on his right was a rather large well built teen with a tan Complexion and orange Hair he wore a muscle shirt and shorts this was Tora.The first on Sato's left was a girl slightly shorter then Rikuo she had Blue hair and had Wine red eyes she wore a long white t-shirt and a pair of black shorts with some sandals on here feet this was Sen. And the last was a girl the same height as Sen but with Black hair that reached her back tied into a pony tail she had blue eyes and a pair of red glasses on,She wore pair of blue jeans a white lone sleeve shirt and a red sweater over it. Once they reached Rikuo and Miranda Rikuo smiled as they stopped in front of them
Hey guys funny running into you all here anyway I would Like you all to me my Cousin Miranda. With that Rikuo placed his hand on Myra's shoulder to comfort her so she wouldn't be nervous and all his friends smiled and introduced them selves to Myra.Myra-Chan these are my Friends Tora,Sen And Aoi sadly you have already met Sato. With that Rikuo allowed his Cousin to meet his friends.
